Missing or damaged teeth affect the aesthetics and function of your mouth, but with dental implants, you can achieve a natural, long-lasting solution.
While we’re committed to restoring and treating natural teeth, dental implants are a popular treatment in restorative dentistry when this is no longer possible. We believe your smile should boost your confidence and help you achieve the lifestyle you want, and we can help improve your overall appearance with teeth implants from Highton’s experienced dentists.
A dental implant is a titanium screw that is placed in the jaw at the site of the missing teeth. The material used for a dental implant is titanium because it is a bio-compatible material. A biocompatible material doesn’t cause any irritation to the gingiva. This screw acts as the root portion of the teeth. The screw then attaches itself to the alveolar bone by means of osseointegration. Once the screw is fully integrated into the jaw, the custom-made crown is placed on it. The crown looks exactly like a natural tooth crown.
To get a dental implant you will need a minor surgical procedure. This procedure is pain-free because the whole process is done under local anaesthesia. We maintain a perfectly sterile environment in our clinic to prevent any kind of post operative complications.
